Membership Tour A604 Rebuilding Tips

Chrysler converter cutaway I realize I posted these photos awhile back, but I decided repost them here on TRNW Image section so we might have them for a later refernces. The 1st photo is of a cutaway 604 converter (compiments of Precision Converters). It is really a converter asking for trouble. The next photo is how our shop bolts the Chrysler converters up. We use a 7/16 star washer with new bolts. Bolt stretch has got to be considered, expecially if the bolts were over torqued at some time or another. These photos might be a good hand out to the genreal repair shops in your area. I knew it was close, but seeing is believing.
