ATSG CONFIRMED FIX - MARCH 2026
2018 Chevy Equinox 9T65
Complaint: Transmission had a severe bind up shifting into 2nd gear, also will not make a 3rd gear shift, sets code P2713 for control solenoid valve 6 performance.
Cause: Selectable one-way clutch damage causes it to stay locked up.
Correction: Replace the selectable one-way clutch assembly

Additional Notes: Transmission was towed into shop. Checked the fluid and it was dark and full of glitter. The transmission was taken apart and while trying to take the one-way clutch housing out it was very resistant to removing but finally came out and the housing was cracked (see images). Going into 2nd gear the clutch must be released but because of the damage it would not be released.
