You mean that lug that keeps the snap ring from spinning? I wouldnt recommend grinding/modifying those things. This whole gear train/drum assembly sees high rpm spin-up and -downs during shifts. It might cause a snapring coming off. With the way it is designed it cant come off and only removeable with the tooling.
