Just googling 700 line pressure. Those readings aren't all that far out of line.
That is one thing I don't like about where I work. We do a LOT of cars that have been converted.
"Hot rods" LOL Seriously people sink a lot of money in this stuff . And I have worked on a lot of cool cars put together by crafty shade tree weekend mechanics. I guess we have kind of a reputation for making stuff like that work that most shops run off.
You don't say what if anything you are trying to fix. But the majority of the time when I have had to mess with TV geometry from aftermarket carb setups. Putting the little Sonnax spring AS1-01K at the end of the TV cable has been something I do to almost every one.

I have "fixed" numerous High line pressure 700R4 units, after making sure the TV cable felt functional AND correct adjustment by quickly stomping the accelerator pedal with engine off. Five times for a carbureted unit and 10 times for fuel injected rigs. Engine OFF. Sometimes a pleasant surprise!!

You might consider looking at the vb, to see if it’s been drilled for constant pressure, even though it’s not at max line at idle.

This 84 truck has a rebuilt unit out of a 90 model in it. I pulled it and found the 3-4 clutches burnt. Replaced what it needed and fixed the tv linkage to work with the Edelbrock carb. I noticed that the vb plate was marked DJ, which was scratched out, and DC was scribed in its place. Anyway, the pressure readings at idle are 85 in p/n/od and 135 in rev. When shifting to the second or low gear position, the pressure goes up to 235 at idle. Has anyone seen this before?
This truck must have had a TH 350 in it because the shift indicator is PRND21 — though I can still get the extra movement to give me low on the 700 unit.
