Finally got this truck lined out. The high pressure in L1 and L2 was built into the VB by the last person who rebuilt it. It shifts great in OD and 3rd with normal pressure. Since the customer doesn't make a habit of driving in low or 2nd, I left it alone.

This 84 truck has a rebuilt unit out of a 90 model in it. I pulled it and found the 3-4 clutches burnt. Replaced what it needed and fixed the tv linkage to work with the Edelbrock carb. I noticed that the vb plate was marked DJ, which was scratched out, and DC was scribed in its place. Anyway, the pressure readings at idle are 85 in p/n/od and 135 in rev. When shifting to the second or low gear position, the pressure goes up to 235 at idle. Has anyone seen this before?
This truck must have had a TH 350 in it because the shift indicator is PRND21 — though I can still get the extra movement to give me low on the 700 unit.
