TRNW-2: 10R80 CDF Drum Differences

This has been a question of mine to the dealer for a while now. They continue to say the part numbers are independent however we have both in stock and the Ford and GM casting numbers are identical. The last parts guy we spoke to seemed to thing the M drum is for mid 2021 and later.

A colleague at another shop has seen the same thing, and they do all of the warranty work for a couple of rural Ford dealers.

I have not done precise measurement comparisons but with all the numbers matching between the M and the J, I can’t see where there would be a difference.
