We have a 2018 Traverse 3.0 AWD and it has a pretty severe shudder from
tc. We attempted a service and shudder additive and it did help when
cruising in high gears but not between shifts after 3rd i think. If you
throttle it in 8th or 9th it will unlock and then shudder slightly back
down to zero slip speed. I did go through a relearn just to see if it would
help anything and it didn't. Anyways the customer knew this was a patch
test and it failed. Outside of tc shudder, the trans seems to work
properly, the fluid was black but not burnt, and the vehicle has 136k on
it. I was wondering if any of you have attempted a tc replacement only or
too risky with these miles? I haven't been in a 9T but looks similar to a
6t40 i think. I priced a gm unit and this one is pricey, the last 9t45 i
did was super cheap and i replaced that one but since its a 9t65 i guess
these are more expensive. HP tuners doesn't have anything for these yet, i
think if it only locked up in 8th and 9th the customer would drive it
unitl it breaks but no way to re-map this one yet.
