To me the software isn't that hard to navigate. What I hate is renewing the license every three months. You used to be able to buy a subscription. But since the guy that runs/wrote it lives in Russia we can't legaly excange money.

Yes I changed about a year ago to this vlinker and it is a lot handier as you don't have to flick any switch it does it all automatically. Mervyn

I bought a vLinker FS adapter, I figured out what the deal was with the 2 versions, it wasn't two versions, it was two different sites that I could purchase the extended license from , confusing as to why they list two different ones, now I've just got to hook it up to a vehicle and try to learn the software

I have found this adapter works the fastest with forscan. You can buy it from the link on there website under products.

Guys,
I have not needed Forscan so far , as a rule all the units have simply relearned and drove out without entering the solenoid strategy, we did need it on one 10r80 at the last shop I was at, it simply would not act right, so the guy that built it downloaded forscan and after entering the strategy it worked fine ,

I'm now doing some part time work at an Aamco that is let's just say "technically challenged" they don't have a diag guy here, so not only will I be building the units but I'll need to handle the weird diag cases as well, so I want to go ahead and download Forscan to head off any issues, problem is there are two different ways of doing it and I don't know which one I need ? there is a version using "AKM software" ? and another version , both for Windows ? which one should I download ?
