TRNW-2: 10R80 Ford valve body damage

Not that surprising. Just bought a 5R55W valve body from our supplier but a genuine Ford part. The box does not even fit the valve body without the vb being on an angle. Best my supplier could do was send me the one with the least bent separator plate.

I guess that’s why dealers might think shops are damaging them. Hard to believe a manufacturer damaged a part then packed and shipped it. Anybody know where the valve bodies are built?

That is what’s weird is I’m like you I think these things are getting damaged after testing and putting them in the bags

We’ve sent a few back for broken or bent solenoids. They all appeared to have good packaging so we figure it was damaged before packaging. No push back from our dealer yet. I’ve heard from many salespeople over the years that “this is the first defect ever”.

Thanks for the info. We might consider that. The new one is now 750.00.

FYI, we have been using the Zipkit on the last 7 or 8 of these, they have worked great and avoids the hassles of Ford VBs, and cheaper. Just throwing that out there.

Are we the only one getting JL3Z7A1000C with bend solenoids? That's what our dealer says. We are the only shop refusing them.
