Just wanted to add one more thought.

Car shield will never reimburse the customer post repair. Do not give the
customer any illusion that he/she will get reimbursed if they pay you up
front.

The claims process is very strict and  it is not subject to personal
interpretation. Without a prior claims number and authorization, the claim
will never be paid.

It's intentionally difficult so some customers give up and just self pay. I
personally cannot believe people still buy these things.
