Brett,
Do you have the code on the sticker on the side of the case? I keep my files related to this number. Usually starts with a number than three letters.
1CKA etc ...

Subject: TRNW-2: 6L80 factory tunes
I have a 2011 4x4 1500 5.3 Truck. The customer had a junk yard tahoe unit put in it a while back. I have pulled and will be rebuilding the junk yard unit as the other was a core sent back to the junk yard. When it comes to differences in the tunes, are they very similar or very different assuming engines are the same. In other words, do I need to have the tehcm programmed to match the vin? I have used my HP tuner 3 times now on 6ls, does someone want to share their file for this truck instead of programming it to the vin. I know I don't have a file saved for this year's model and 4x4 yet. I reuse all techms on OHs except the bad certain ones from 2017 and then see how the truck operates after overhaul before I replace it.
Thank you,
Brett Karulak
