I'm in as well. I have been getting valve bodied from Ford. I'll Zip the next one. Havn't seen one in a while though.

This is caused by the heavy solenoids damaging the bores, There is a MUST HAVE Tool for resizing those bores:

Agree Phil, those valves can cause nightmares if they are draggy.

We tried using Ratiotek kits along with a couple of Sonnax valves (not pr valve due to incompatibility with Ratiotek) and found the transmissions took a very long time to adapt, and had intermittent harsh shifts/engagements. We switched to the Sonnax Zip Kit with the last 3-4 10R80s and couldn't believe how quickly they adapted and worked very well. Just make sure that those control valves fall in/out of their bores with their own weight. They seem very susceptible to sticking with no return springs.

What are most of you doing on the 10r80 valvebody wise ? still using new Ford valvebodies? or using the zip kits on them ? I've noticed the price has creeped up on them from Ford , I just finished one and the valvebody was right at $700, imagine it will continue to increase as time goes on
