No noises. There is a post in the fix database on the case bearing as well.

Thanks. We are going to do a pan inspection and check the condition of the pressure switches.

Make sure the unit does not have a whine. The center bearing loves to go out and I have never been able to buy one, always a used case.

Thanks Fred. I remember and saw your post as there are very few on these units.

This doesn't feel like a sticking linear like the old AW55-50. Just like it doesn't know whether the shift completes or not. Not a lot of information available about the shift logic for these.

I had one in this family several years ago that took out the sprag. It wasn't drivable when it came in. When I got it back together it worked great cold. But when it got hot it would neutral out at a stop and catch when you give it gas (which is what took out the sprag). I figured it being linear solenoids it was like an AW55. But no solenoids were available without a free valve body. I got a valve body from buffalo engines, and it looked like it was NEW. Which fixed it.
It had other issues going on hot but worked picture perfect cold and acted just like an AW55 with sticky solenoids. I never saw that one again and have yet to see another one. I guess it could have been pressure switches. I will never know because I replaced whole VB.

We replaced a few transmission for 3-5-R problem on some CX-5 . We installed low mile used.

Fishing for some experience with these 6 speed units.

I have a 2018 CX5 in the shop with a customer concern related to a bumpy 2-3 and 4-5 shift at times. No codes are present. We are going to do a pan inspection.

Ive dug into the Fix database and see a similar issue posted by Dean down in NZ related to a TCM failure. I suspect I may have a pressure switch issue as the shift concern on the 2-3 shows a double tap on the 35R pressure switch PID. When the shift is smooth and normal, pressure switch closure is one event.

Has anyone encountered the TSB described failure of the pressure switches on these units? Always codes? Shift quality directly affected?

Thanks for any experience with these units.
