As was said the aux coolant tank is first place to look. I have had 3 come in overheating that took around a gallon to top off,which is about what I believe the aux cooler holds. I could find no real leaks on any of them. No one ever checks the aux level,and they don't have a level sensor (which they certainly need one)!

Does anyone know what normal transmission temp should be for a 17 f250 diesel 6r140?
I have a new job show up today, and customer states temps run 230ish on 2 lane roads 50-60mph. If he runs interstate normally around 220. He says trans works just fine, but he is concerned of high temps.
