Hi Justin
Steve Garret just did a class on can bus diagnosing at the atra expo.
I went to his class . I believe you need to measure the resistance between plus and minus at the ALDL I will get pin numbers in the morning you should be reading 60 ohms . if you read 120 ohms that means you lost a 120 ohm resistor he talked about putting a 120 ohm dropping resistor across those 2 pins if you were reading 120 should be 60 if wiring is good. Adding that resistor you might be able to communicate. There is a test you can do with your scan tool that tells which modules are working the working modules rat the module thats not waking up. I will try and find what that test is called. Hope I don't sound to stupid.

I struggle when it comes to testing wiring on the can bus lines, I just don’t have enough experience with it. I’m determine to figure this one of for a learning experience. I have included a diagram of some wiring I am testing, and I have continuity between pin 29 and 6 and 43 and 14, but I do not have continuity between 29 and 7 and 43 and 8. The diagram cuts off, but the mf3/mz0 squares just loop around the tcm and back into the wires 6 and 8 of the tcm. Would I be thinking right that I have a break in the 2 bus wires 29 and 7, and 43 and 8 that is causing my no communication?
