I know you are trying to get away from solvent, and this isn't what you are asking. But I used to have a 5 gallon bucket that I took 3/8 steel line and made it into a coil where it would circle around the bottom of the bucket. I drilled a bunch of tiny holes in the coil, and had a regulating valve that hooked to shop air,and had the bucket ¾ full of solvent. I used that all the time back in the days AXODE's were melting planets. Half hour or so in that bucket with bubbling solvent, turning the valve body every now and then. The valve body would come out squeaky clean!
I left it behind at a shop I left and have been meaning to make another one. It sure works on a really trashed valve bodies.

Subject: Ultrasonic Cleaner
Hello everyone. I'm looking for input and experiences from the group here. Anybody ever use an ultrasonic cleaner? I've been thinking about trying one on solenoids and tehcms. I know they're used commonly used on marine carburetors but I'm not sure about electrical parts. I see them around 200 online for bench top units. Looks like there are water & solvent-based solutions available. Thanks, Chris
