TRNW-2: Tundra's Thermal Bypass AB60

Do any of you leave a cotter pin in the thermal bypass to keep the fluid
always flowing to the cooler?  Not sure if it causes any problems and I
assume by pushing the valve in and installing a pin to hold it that it
bypasses the thermal valve and always flows. This is on a 2010 Tundra.
