TRNW-2: 6r140 valve body and sonnax tooling

I agree John ! when we ream a valvebody or put a kit in one and reuse
it , we're gambling on whether it will work correctly for whatever length
of time we feel responsible for it, and sometimes that comes back to bite
us! But I guess it depends on how the job is sold ? if a shop gives a
set price and doesn't factor in a new VB in that price then it makes sense
for them to try and reuse it if possible, if the shop sets their prices
high enough to include a new VB then they don't have to worry about it .
I have a reputation for building units without replacing unnecessary
parts , but many times that has caused me to have to go back into a unit
and replace or rework a VB whereas if I had simply replaced it with new I
wouldn't have had to go back into it , I've always discussed that with the
owner or manager before deciding, and most would rather try to save $$ and
use the original VB if possible, the shop I'm currently at would rather
charge the customer for a new VB up front and then we don't have to worry
about it later, (usually) I say it that way because I've had multiple
10R80 brand new valvebodies that were faulty
