Hi Group!
Happy Presidents Day!Since its 10R80 week I decided to get one too:
I got a 2020 Ranger here with a 10R80, 90.000 miles
Stops shifting at 7th>No 8-10. The shifting its doing isnt all that great.Upon inspection discovered:
D-Clutch Burned (Blackened Steels, not spotted, frictions darkened, but not gone)E-Clutch Burned (Blackened Steels, not spotted, frictions darkened, but not gone)
CDF Drum Bushing has moved 0.050" (ring marks still in between holes)
Outer Shell hammered by F-clutch frictions
All Input Shaft plugs in place and not leaking.
Air test of A, B, E all ok
Air Test C, D, F all leaking and cross leaking. Not big leaks, hard to say, but clutches arent applying at 35 PSI Air.ABCDF air tested from pomp surface
My question is does this slight bushing movement cause this leakage and cross leakage or do those Solid seals just air test poorly? Remember C and F Frictions are as good as new.
Its going to get a drum and Shell anyway, but i think with the way it is it should shift all gears? Whadda yall think?
Thanks for any input!
Best Regards,
Marcel Verwijmeren
