RECON used to be a great brand IMO, but we stopped using RECON converters back around 2020 due to problems. Blue Bombs sums it up succinctly. We used to get communication about our defects, comebacks and excellent assistance from them. They were our main replacement units from 2000 until 2020, but during the pandemic they just let everything slide and left us out to dry with some jobs. I wasn't happy. I don't know the current state of their operations now, but I don't hear good things as I think the original folks are now long gone.
ALL converter rebuilders are going to have issues, but it's the way they work with YOU and help get problems solved that matters to us. We use PNH and Dynamic and have had very few issues since the change. PNH technical support has been shaky in the last couple years due to personnel changes, but I think they are trying to improve.
RECON and CVC are a no go for us.

Just checking.
Do any of you use Recons and have a warranty that is at least 3 year or 36000 and don't see many issues or failures with them? I haven't seen much about them lately on here if any of you have problems with them. I was wondering if they are getting better, my rep says they are great but i heard many complaints in the past. I use mostly PNH and some Florida. I have used one billet lid 48re and one 4l60e since i opened a year and a half ago and haven't seen them back, actually i haven't had a failure of any tc yet. I am small shop, just me doing all mechanical work. Just wondering if some of yall have good luck with them and give a longer warranty other than one or two years.
