TRNW-2: TCC functional test. 4l60e

We would do that test, only thing different is take the enable valve out and put springs on bottom to stroke the valve in the pump. Hose in bucket, pan still off and engine should stall in gear. Quick test to make sure converter is capable or not.

I thought I remembered seeing that you could keep the filter in fluid by putting a hose from the filter to the pump inlet and then pushing up on the tcc valve in the pump and it should kill the engine ? it was years ago but I swear I saw where that was done somewhere ? it will be messy no doubt , and not sure its worth the mess, but ?

My guess would be no. Don't you need 2nd gear oil to stroke the L/U valve in the pump? Probably just turn solenoid off and on. Listen for it clicking.
