Sorry, missed the part about you having failures.  I haven't seen the afm
system cause transmission failures, I would be looking more at bad parts or
missing something in the hydraulic circuits in the transmission.  Use a
billet lid tc and minimum the sonnax zip kit or have the reamers needed for
tcc.
