If you use the matching rear ring gear and sensor, I agree this should work fine. Like Pat, I've also seen transition cases with both holes and a dummy plug present in the turbine shaft side for the years prior to officially using the input speed sensor.

I can't tell you for sure as I have never tried, but I have seen some units come in where the hole where the input sensor would go have a plug from the factory. I "think" the output sensor hole is in the same place, instead of reading the holes in the carrier it reads the park lugs, but the lugs were made longer to be in the correct position.

The input speed sensor won't be used. I'm thinking that one won't matter. The output sensor could be a problem. the shop is bringing me a core they have today so I can look at it. Thank you guys for your thoughts on this.

Guys, The sensor reads in a different spot in the case. Thats why you have to pull a late one back out if you clock the center support snap ring wrong. The out put sensors are different part #s as well!

I would say yes as long as you use the planetary and rear speed sensor
from your original 1-sensor case. I'm sure the sensors are the same
diameter and depth. And just plug the front sensor hole with a speed
sensor. That will throw someone off down the line, lol
