I agree with what Pat said. The only reason I ever get these Programmed is when installing one from the Dealer for the warranty. Nissan uses it as a loophole to get out of the warranty. I would drive it after you get it back together and if it works just let it go.

We build the original units and do not update any programming and have no issues. If you are installing a unit from a different vehicle that may be a different story. I would not be afraid to drive it to the dealer.
When we do install a used unit (Carmax), same story, we do not program.
The only reason we would program any of these would be if they had a judder code.

15 Murano. long story but basically I'm installing a mystery used trans as per customer request. He is a good customer and I will get paid regardless of results. I recommended against it. I am hoping to do everything I can to help this work out for him. I don't have any experience with these. The plan is to install it, get fluid as correct as possible on the hoist, then he is going to tow it to dealership for latest tcm software. I'm just hoping to hear some comments from you guys who have done more of these. I would normally just turn away a job like this but willing for this customer.... thx in advance
