TRNW-2: Subaru TR580 bearing noise

I got the TR580 partially apart,  but realized I needed one of the tools in
order to get the pulleys apart correctly,  so we've ordered the Adapt a
case tool for the variator pulley,  should have it in a couple days,   All
I can say is I'm not sure I want to fool with another one of these ?   this
one had a plastic baffle surrounding the pulleys instead of the metal one
I've seen in videos,
